Pleasant Valley

The most notable feature in Pleasant Valley is Brannen Lake. In fact, most of the homes in this Nanaimo neighbourhood were built in close proximity to the lake, which has a boat dock and a small public swimming area. The neighbourhood is also close to Uplands and Long Lake. Historically, Pleasant Valley was a mostly rural area within the city, but the area was developed around the 1980s so the homes are relatively more modern. Another great benefit for Pleasant Valley residents is its close proximity to two major shopping centres. The first, which is just north of the neighbourhood, is the Woodgrove Centre and the second, which is just to the east, is the Nanaimo North Town Centre.
